Plum dumplings with tofu dough

Plum dumplings with tofu dough have an unmistakably delicate taste and those non-believers out there, must simply try them:

Ingredients Directions
  • 2 packages natural TOFU
  • 75 ml rice milk
  • 3 tbsp. flour (finely ground)
  • 2 tbsp. semolina
  • 3 tbsp. breadcrumbs and salt
  • 200 g plums
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 4 tbsp. breadcrumbs for sprinkling
  • 2 tbsp. cinnamon sugar

  1. Finely grate TOFU into a bowl. Add milk, flour, semolina, and breadcrumbs. Lightly salt the dough and thoroughly mix. It should not be too thin or too thick – add more milk or breadcrumbs as needed.
  2. Take a small piece of the dough in your palm, wrap it around a washed and pitted plum. Let the plum balls sit for a moment, then drop them in boiling salted water and cook.
  3. Fish out the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon. In a smaller saucepan, heat up butter, and quickly fry breadcrumbs and cinnamon sugar. Sprinkle crumb mixture over finished dumplings before serving.
