Marinated tofu “ sirloin ” with cream sauce

Marinated tofu sirloin with cream sauce is an excellent variant to the classic version of sirloin steak, in which meat is normally used. Marinated tofu can fully replace the taste of meat and is a whole lot easier on your stomach.

Marinated tofu “ sirloin ” with cream sauce

In this recipe we used classic sour cream in the sauce, but if your body doesn’t tolerate products such as sour cream, we’ve provided you a recipe for soy sour cream.

What we need: Directions:
  • 4 packages marinated TOFU
  • 1 tbsp. roast meat seasoning mix
  • olive oil
  •  4 carrots
  • 1 onion
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 2 parsnips
  • Garlic
  • 3 tbsp. sour cream
  • 1 tbsp. (vegeta) dried vegetable seasoning
  • Potato starch (juice from a fresh potato)
  • Nutmeg
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Allspice
  • White pepper
  • 2 dcl water
  • Lemon juice
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  1. Sauté the onion in oil, add grated vegetables and spices. Pour in water and simmer until the vegetables soften.
  2. Season with salt and puree together.
  3. Season the sauce with salt, sugar, lemon, and thicken with potato starch if necessary.
  4. Add sour cream to mellow out flavors and remove from heat for a moment.
  5. Finally, strain through a fine sieve.
  6. Cut the marinated TOFU in half lengthwise, brush with oil and seasoning mixes.
  7. Saute the TOFU on a hot pan until golden.
  8. Serve with dumplings.
